PGMC Unites Conservationist, Communities, Government Line Agencies through a Mangrove Propagules Planting

With the aim of supporting livelihood without destroying the mangrove, PGMC conducted mangrove propagules planting in Bagakay river located at the center of Claver, Surigao del Norte. Mangrove enrichments along the river has been actively pursued by PGMC in the past years in support for DENR’s river for life project.

Among those participated is MGB-13 Regional Director Engr. Glenn Marcelo C. Noble, Ms. Maritess M. Ocampo – PENR Officer, JOSELINA L. CASNOVA – Chief Conservation and Development Section of PENRO SDN, Joseph Leo O. Oconer – CENR Officer and a contingent from PGMC through the MEPEO and ComRel office, LGU Claver, BLGU Bagakay, BARUTO Peoples Organization and PNP Claver.

The site of PGMC’s Mangrove Trail Ecotourism Project and the Aquaculture project, PGMC were able plant 500 mangrove propagules throughout the activity.
